Posted: August 28, 2010 in ps

I tried my hands on text transformation, here is a sample of warped text.
Again, the original resolution is 1440 X 900, which won’t be supported here, so mail me for a copy. Cheers!!

Incomplete…

Here is a writeup, and this is incomplete because my inspiration had walked away after I reached this point.
And as to completion of this poem, maybe, Someday

Baby, I may have been wrong
But you should know all my songs
Come from deep down my heart
And I possibly never can part
With the sweet memories of you
That are deep in my mind
And you are one of a kind
It’s like you are tailor-made for me,
Oh, how i wish together we could be…

Just trying to get myself in league with higher resolutions. The original one is in 150 dpi, mail me for a copy.
And as far as the text is concerned, well, am not sure myself, but i guess it arises from somewhere out of years of appraisals for Harrison ford and addiction to Tomb Raider games. Anyways, I guess next in queue is a writeup. Cheers!!

Improved resolutions…

Removing all hyperlinks

Posted: August 20, 2010 in tech-tricks

Few days back, working on a document for our Dean, found this awesome way for removing all hyperlinks from a document. Works on both, word and excel, formats.

WORD :

Hit [ALT]+[F11] to open the Visual Basic Editor

Go to “Insert” > “Module” and in the pop-up window copy:

Sub RemoveHyperlinks()
Dim oField As Field
For Each oField In ActiveDocument.Fields
If oField.Type = wdFieldHyperlink Then
oField.Unlink
End If
Next
Set oField = Nothing
End Sub

Then click “File” > Close and return to Microsoft Word

You can now run the Macro in Word by going to:

Tools > Macro > Macro and then Run “RemoveAllHyperlinks”

Excel:

You can do the same in an Excel Document:

Hit [ALT]+[F11] to open the Visual Basic Editor

Go to “Insert” > “Module” and in the pop-up window copy:

Sub RemoveHyperlinks()
'Remove all hyperlinks from the active sheet
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Delete
End Sub

Then click “File” > Close and return to Microsoft Excel

You can now run the Macro in Excel by going to:

Tools > Macro > Macro and then Run “RemoveAllHyperlinks”, this will delete all URLS on the selected worksheet.

p.s. – while saving the document, alerts may arise. Don’t heed to them. Enjoy.

Posted: August 19, 2010 in ps

Ohh, what a sweaty work!! Not that the task was difficult, but just had two cups of coffee to keep myself from dozing off, and actually spoiled my workspace… so much for staying awake.
Anyways, finally designed another poster to check my impatience. Another tut completed.
